Spring 2026

Popped up there at the end of March and it was very nice but a bit dry already – even after steady Winter rains the slope still dries up very quickly after a few days of sunshine. The Pasque Flowers were just starting and I saw only one flowering Cowslip btu there were a lot of Hairy Violets.

Gymnocheta viridis and Gonia picea were 2 early Spring tachinids on the wing already, and there were a few male Orange Tips.
